HopefulHey Everyone,
I am happy to announce that Crimson Sky Graphics is now on Twitter! Please check out our page there and follow us. If you don't have a Twitter account, you can also access the nifty RSS feed or simply bookmark the page. It'll be the place to know what's currently happening with Crimson Sky Graphics, as I will probably update it more often than I will write a full news entry here.
Follow us here: http://twitter.com/CSGraphics
Also, a mini-update as occured on the site with 5 new avatars added today. I thought I should add something, as it's been so long. Looking forward to sharing more with you in the near future, and I hope to see you on Twitter.
Sincerely,
Sarah K.

Due to an attack I received on my computer, I have been unable to update this site for the past month. I'm only just now able to start getting back to work on some graphics and templates, so I'm currently not sure when new layouts or graphics will be added.
I apologize for the delay in new material for you all. There was nothing I could have done to avoid this and am currently doing my best to get it all sorted out and back to normal routine. I'm also trying to work hard to get the store up and running in the near future and may be introducing a new designer to my crew soon.
In the meantime, please enjoy what we currently have and thank you for your patience!
Sincerely,
Sarah K.

I am pleased to say that there are now 25 new Profile 2.0 layouts added to the site! True, all but one are modified versions of older Profile 1.0 layouts, but some of them have a much cleaner look to them. Due to the new type of coding available with 2.0, I was also able to add some extra touches to a few that really make them a lot better.
All of the layouts now have info below their thumbnail, which informs you of what profile(s) they are for, what type of layout they are, and link to the preview(s) as well as the code(s).
There are also two new View All sections, as I divided it between 2.0 and 1.0. This should make it easier for you to find what you're looking for.
Due to the fact that MySpace no longer allows new users to switch to 1.0 if they joined after April 2nd, I will be focusing mainly on layouts that either work on both versions, or are made for 2.0. I figure that within a year or so 1.0 will become obsolete.
I have also decided that, for the time being at least, I will keep the working previews. If a layout works on both versions, you will even be able to see a separate preview for each.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Sarah K.

Hey Everyone,
This is a quick update to tell you about the upcoming changes you'll be seeing on the site. Due to the new Profile 2.0 on MySpace, I've spent some time coding many of the current layouts to have versions for both profile types. This means that certain layouts will now have two codes on their pages -- One for profile 1.0 and one for profile 2.0.
Due to this, I found it necessary to change the main links to each layout so that you can know which layout is for which profile type. There will now be more detailed information with each layout link in the categories. This is instead of the simple 'title, thumbnail, get code link, and preview link' that you're familiar with. Now you will see the title, the profile type, and the layout style below every thumbnail.
This change will take awhile, so you may notice that some are set up this way, while others aren't. I apologize for any confusion during the process. All layouts will, however, still be accessible while I change things over.
Along with the above, there may be one other large change to happen. Due to the duel profile types now available, I may be removing working previews from all layouts. In their place you will find a full-size screen capture of the layout so you can see what it looks like. If I don't do this, any layout that has two versions will have only one preview to show the basic idea of how it'll look. This means you will not be able to preview the layout on both profiles, if both are available for it.
I know this seems like a pain, but it will help to keep this website free. Not only would it cut down on bandwidth and page numbers, but it simplifies things so I can spend more time on making content for you to use.If you have any questions or concerns about anything mentioned above, please feel free to contact me or post on the forum. Thanks!
Sincerely,

As mentioned in the previous update, there is now an "Add a Comment" link on every layout page. It would be greatly appreciated if you take the moment to leave your thoughts on a layout, especially if you're going to use it. Simply click the link and post a reply to it on the forum. No registration needed!
Of course, we'd also love to see you as a new member on the forum. It's a place where you can suggest ideas for graphics or layouts, make a request, ask any questions you have, or simply just chat with others. Please join to support this site and help the forum grow!
There is now an "animal" category in the MySpace layouts section, which is something I've been looking forward to adding for awhile now. The selection may still be limited, but feel free to suggest an idea for an animal theme you'd like to see.
The new "widescreen" category is simply a place where you can go to view layouts that are designed more for widescreens and larger resolutions. They will still work in smaller sizes, but may look even better on the larger ones. Keep in mind that many of our layouts do work on either size, though.
Lastly, just a heads up: the "what's new" blog may be discontinued soon and all of the news will be posted in a specific section of the forum. I currently do not know when this will happen, but keep your eyes out for the change.Hope to see you all on the forum soon, and hope you enjoy the new content.
Sincerely,

Hey Everyone,
Just a minor update this time. Had a request for a layout (I don't normally do requests anymore, but am open to them on occasion), so I decided I'd upload it on it's own.
There's also a cool new feature you'll notice on each page of the site: a chat box! It's located in the right column, under the ad. Feel free to say hi and leave a comment there whenever you feel like.
Just keep it clean and friendly, please!
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Sarah K.

Hey Everyone,
Just a quick update to say there are 4 new MySpace Profile 2.0 layouts available. I've currently got a few other layouts in the works, but decided I'd add these in the meantime.
Enjoy!

I've got some pretty exciting news to share with you today!
Some of you may be familiar with MySpace's new Profile 2.0. It has a lot of advantages to it, although will take some getting used to in comparison with what MySpace has been in the past.
With it you can now arrange your profile boxes into up to 3 columns, and in any order you wish to have them. It also has the newer features such as the music player that can host multiple songs and a video player that blends in with your page. Overall, it can give a lot more of a cleaner appearance to your profile than any default layout could before, without needing a lot of coding.
The biggest benefit that I have seen so far is the new way the layout codes are used. Now that there's a specific CSS code box it opens up a lot of opportunities to change things up a bit. Some of the annoying restrictions that layouts had before are now gone, while a couple new ones seem to have popped up.
With all of this in mind, I decided to finally take the leap into designing 2.0 layouts. It may take a bit of time to get used to how the new coding works and what I can do with it, but I'm excited to explore the new territory. So far, I'm impressed.
For the time being, the layouts will be in their own category within the MySpace Layouts section. This is more than likely only temporary, however. I am not fully sure how I will set it up, having two types of layouts, but hopefully this will be done shortly.
If you are unsure about how to use the layouts for the new Profile 2.0, please check out the new tutorial on the subject.
On a side note, I'm happy to announce that the first two standard MySpace Layouts of the new Film Legends series I'm creating have been uploaded. It's a project I've wanted to do for awhile, and am quite excited about it. It's a series of layouts that will feature a variety of classic film stars, and possibly some classic movies as themes.
I hope you enjoy the new additions to the site!
Sincerely,

Hey Everyone,
You may notice a few new adjustments to the site, but nothing major. The graphics section is now organized a little better, with preview pictures to each section like the rest of the site. The backgrounds section is also now divided into separate categories for each type. Along with this, the emoticon section will now have various pixel graphic sets in it (currently only the new heart sets, but more will come in the future).
Overall, I'm trying to slowly smooth out the rough edges of this website as I notice them. It's probably going to stay the same when it comes to the main look and how you navigate, but from time to time you may notice small changes that (in my opinion) improve things a bit.
There are also some new MySpace layouts and backgrounds recently added. Hope you enjoy them!

Hey Everyone,
I am proud to announce that, for the first time in history, Crimson Sky Graphics is now hosted on it's own domain and server! This opens the doors for huge progress for the site, because now there are no more limits to what can be done with it. What a great way to start off the new year!
Along with this major change, there are some other things in the works -- some of which you may have already noticed. Now when you go to www.crimsonskygraphics.com you will see the new gateway, which lists two different sections to the site. Obviously you can access this free section, but you will also notice a new store section that is listed as coming soon. This is very exciting for me, as it's a completely new territory and one I've been looking forward to for a very long time. I hope that you will check it out when it's up and running, as well as continue to enjoy the free content you can find in this section of the site!
The new year has also brought some new updates to this site, after a long break which really came unplanned. There are currently some new MySpace layouts, avatars, and cursors to check out, along with some more to hopefully come soon. I have also switched around the categories in the MySpace layout section so that the "Seasonal" category is now merged with the "Nature & Scenic" one. For the time being, it seemed pointless to have the seasonal one as all of it's layouts were in the nature category anyway.
One last thing to mention before I end this:
We are still looking for new featured designers to create content for this site. This is especially important as my time will be half spent on the upcoming features and store, and won't have as much time to focus on creating new layouts or graphics. So, if you think you might be interested in helping us out, while getting some credit for yourself at the same time, please send in an application here. It certainly can't hurt, and I'd love to hear from you!
I hope you all have a wonderful new year, and look forward to helping you design your space on the web!
Sincerely,
